The "Awakening from the Meaning Crisis" looks super interesting! And how could the goddess of limits not be intriguing? When I am hitting my limits or struggling with limits, I sometimes think, "oh, it is because I am human (aka prone to failure)" but I like thinking about a goddess of limits, and that maybe limits are a bigger picture than just a "human thing." Thanks for writing!
The Vervaeke series on meaning is bonkers - I'm only like halfway through because it takes me so long to listen, take notes, go back and listen again. Let me know if you dive in so we can discuss!
I am only 5 minutes into it haha...so I'll let you know once I get further. So far it reminds me a bit of Richard Schwartz and some things in the No Bad Parts book about Wisdom and cognition...but again...I'm 5 minutes in...so, I should probably get A LOT further before having any comments/conclusions with any of it!
I love this phrasing: "The goddess of limit." It seems we are interested in very similar writing and researching topics! (And in reading Culture Study, which is how I found my way to you).
I really loved this and have been thinking about it ever since I read it. I have been considering "enough" as my word for the year for 2023, and what you've hit on here is so much of what I've been mulling over.
This post really resonates. My brain naturally wants to pare things away, to focus on the fewer remaining. Being mindful of the seasons is a great guide. Thanks!

Thanks for reading and for the feedback!
Update: I am on episode 5 and I am hooked! (Only 45 more episodes to go!)

Would love to be Substack buddies :)

Loved it and am finding ways to sit with this goddess! She's my girl! We all have limits!

I'm so glad it resonated, Shannon. I'm jealous of your brain - can you teach me your ways?! :)
