What a lovely trip! A few years ago, I road-tripped in and around Germany, and we stopped in Gruyeres to see the HR Giger Museum. We only spent a few days in Switzerland, but we were awed by the beauty and how chill everyone was, in the little mountain town we stayed in.
We didn't make it to Gruyères because we were worn out on our last day, but I ate my weight in their cheese while I was there :) Glad to hear you all had such a wonderful time too!

I made the mistake of leaving a piece of Gruyere in the car overnight, and my passengers were not pleased! To me it smelled like heaven...
